Ian previously served as a Tax Consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick and as Director of Financial Planning for a national financial services firm. Ian has served on the faculty of Long Island University in the Certified Financial Planning Program. He holds a B.S. in economics with a degree in accounting from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.
Ian has served as a Board Member of The Financial Planning Association (FPA), Long Island Chapter, where he was Vice President of Ethics and Vice President of Education. He was previously a Director of The National Children’s Leukemia Foundation and, in 1996, received that organization’s Lifesaver Award for his “tireless effort to assist children and their families.” Ian is a two-time bone marrow donor through the New York Blood Center and the Leukemia Foundation and is still involved with both organizations. Following 9/11, Ian and his firm were sought out by various relief organizations to provide financial consulting to the families affected by the tragedy. A member of The Interfaith Nutrition Network’s Estate Planning Committee, Ian has also served on the Charitable Planned Giving Committee of the Northwell Health System.
Ian lives in Jericho, New York , and enjoys golf, skiing, music, and family time.
